So, you want to write your own music huh? Here are some tips to help you turn it on!

First and foremost, think about your audience. Who would they be? Would they be able to relate to your music? You must aim to connect with them emotionally, and you could do this by many ways: powerful lyrics, evocative music, catchy tunes, skilled use of instruments, and many others. In order to do just that, you must practice your technical and artistic skills and keep them at their toes by doing something new every now and then.

Seek inspiration, it’s all around you and deep within you. Listen to others’ songs and learn from them. Stop comparing yourself with other songwriters and create your own style.

    to be continued… :)

The internet has birthed to great changes in music experience, because of increase choice and access to songs. YouTube has provided an opportunity for amateur and professional musicians to post their music videos for the public to enjoy. MySpace has bridged the gap between musician to fellow musician, facilitating the distribution of songs among many. Also, there are sites that allow download of songs at a fee, or sometimes even for free. Which is good for listeners but very bad for the producers! For me, I think that they would have to revise a lot of things to keep up with the changes, or else, music would be entangled in a net spawned by the internet.

With dancing ladies and big trombones, the sound of Balkan Beat Box carries a faint reminder of the day the circus came to town,. But the dancers are belly dancers and the saxophones and brass recalls the Klezmer tradition of going from village to village, in this case, the Booklyn, to weddings and funerals. In this case, the village is Brooklyn.

djThere was a time when party meant music and music meant DJ’s, who started out at home mixing their own tunes sending out samplers and then slowly climbing up the ladder to fame. Today, no party, concert or anything else would be without a respectable DJ. Gone were the days of turntables and several vinyl records being selected for their complementary sounds, DJ’s of today with the help of technology, computers and the several hundred or so gadgets and gizmos can do anything with any music.
The days when DJ’s were hired to do the record changes are gone and they have become some of the hottest commodities around. Want a successful dance club, get a pricy one who are reported to earn five figures for major gigs. Even major artists have their own guys/gals in their ranks to bring their concerts to life and albums to ever new heights that have made concerts all the better and wilder. They give us music from some of the most unlikely combinations and more.

People assume and feel strongly about technobeat being associated with Europe and the rebellious youth who so love the music style in pubs and discos all over the place. Many would not believe that the genre was mostly an American creation from Detroit Michigan from all places, the seat of the US auto Industry. A form of Electronic Dance Music that stands out from the rest, but takes a little of everything all bundled up into a style that is unique and hip. Though mostly user created meaning there is no defined style or type, the style has been adapted by big names from other arenas of the music industry such as Madonna and U2. Technological advancements with electronics music boxes has allowed more and more people to enjoy and dance to the beat without much further ado. The style is much at home on the dance floor for whatever style or genre you are listening to, techno links them into one mean dancing tune that everybody just loves.
